Tax Deductible Donations

Information regarding Tax Deductible Donations

Sandhills Blast & Cast Ministries is a “not for profit 501(c)3 organization.” Cash donations and sponsorships are tax deductible in accordance with the law. You will receive a dated acknowledgment letter from Sandhills Blast and Cast Ministries as a receipt showing the date and amount of the donation. Your cancelled check for any donations not more than $250 is also a legitimate record. However, if you make a donation of more than $250 in any one day to Sandhills Blast & Cast Ministries, your cancelled check is NOT enough for Tax purposes. Please retain your Acknowledgment letter as substantiation.

Non cash donations also need supporting records. For individual non-cash gifts of $250 to $500, that proof must include written confirmation. In addition to the  acknowledgment letter from Sandhills Blast & Cast Ministries for a non-cash gift between $500 and $5,000, you will need to document your ownership and cost, and file IRS Form 8283. Gifts of non-cash property valued at more than $5,000 demand additional substantiation.” Please consult with your CPA for more information.
